What is Sublimation?

Sublimation shirt printing is a specific process of printing that first involves printing onto a special sheet of paper, then transferring that image onto another material (usually polyester or a polyester mix). The ink is then heated until it disintegrates into the fabric.

Sublimation printing is only suitable for garments that include polyester (100% polyester or polyester blend). Although sublimation can be done on a min 65% polyester blend however you will loose some of the vibrant colors. Sublimation is possible on other materials such as cotton, the image will not be permanent as it is on 'man made' fabric and it isn't recommended. To maximize the vibrant colors it is recommend to do full color on a white 100% polyester.
